Jessalyn Carpino, the daughter of John and Luann Carpino of Payson, was recently chosen from the thousands of students at Northern Arizona University to be profiled on the NAU Accomplishment Web site.
She is the youngest person to be recognized in this manner, according to her mother.
The profile states, “Jessalyn Carpino is the embodiment of enthusiasm and dedication to new student success at Northern Arizona University. The junior art education major makes it her mission to help incoming freshmen learn the ropes of college life before they even start.”
In May Carpino was nominated for NAU Student of the Year.
She was born and raised in Payson, attending Head Start through high school here. Her family has been in the community for more than 23 years.
