Hello again, fellow Creekers.
I just spoke with Debbie of the Tall Pines Market and she told me to let everyone know about a “Huge Craft Show” for only crafters.
So, if you’ve got a craft and something to sell this is the one event this year you’ll want to be a part of. And the best part is, for all crafters/vendors it is free. The event will be held right outside the Tall Pines Market on Saturday, July 3 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lynda St. John will be singing and playing from noon to 2 p.m. This event promises to provide some business to our local crafters and artists, as well as provide our summer visitors and locals with a real treat. For more information or to reserve your spot, please call Debbie directly at 928-978-2128.
Father’s Day is right around the corner and I asked Cindy over at the Creekside if she had anything special planned. She said she was still working out the details, but that it would be very special and there is likely to be a little something on the menu that rhymes with “porterhouse.” So, don’t forget about Dad on June 20.
I also spoke with Linda over at our Christopher-Kohl’s Fire Department and she told me to remind everyone that with the summer heating things up, it is very important to put out any and all campfires and to do it by drenching it with water. She said that putting it out with dirt, especially in these drier times, the wind can kick up and reignite a fire. Always better to be safe than sorry. So, water (and whole lot of it) it is.
I would also like to congratulate both Rancho Tonto and Christopher Creek Lodge for making it into the June issue of Arizona Magazine’s picks for “Arizona’s Best Cabins.” In all of Arizona, they only selected 18 total cabins to highlight and we made the cut.
As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at: email@example.com. Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.
Thanks again for reading the column.
