Adopt A Pet June 19 And Get $50 In Petco Coupons

It was the middle of April when a man from Young walked through the front door of HSCAZ and announced he had some puppies for us. As usual, we all came running — we love puppies. He said they had been born at his neighbor’s house and when asked what kind of dogs the parents were, he kindly answered “their dogs.”

So, with that said, we tested the pups for parvo, as we do with all incoming, and found them to be healthy. He said they were 6 weeks old, so they were given their first shots, treated for parasites and set up in a comfy spot where they would spend the next few weeks.

That was the day Rascal, T.J., Boscoe, Moose, Scout, Coli and Mia came to town. Coli and Rascal have already been adopted. Their new dad is busy getting the place ready for his new bundles of joy.

But the rest of the family is waiting to steal the hearts of just the right person. If you come to meet these precious babies, remember — puppies will require a lot of training and a lifelong obligation. When you bring an animal into your home, you need to be ready to offer the love and respect that animal deserves for the rest of its life. And in return, you’ll receive unconditional love that is beyond compare.

If you come in tomorrow (June 19), you get an adoption packet from Petco that includes $50 worth of coupons redeemable at any Petco, as well as some other good stuff.

Once again we’re shown that the rumor that “they don’t raise kids like they used to” is false. Three darling, little blondes — Emma and Makyla Hill and their friend, Abby Hazlo — set up a Lemonade stand last Monday and sold almost $30 worth of lemonade on behalf of the animals of our little shelter. That is the true spirit of volunteerism and one of the great things about this wonderful little mountain community we call home.

Many thanks to Emma and Makyla Hill and Abby Hazlo who recently set up a lemonade stand, sold nearly $30 worth of lemonade and gave the proceeds to the animals at our shelter.
