SV considering buying town hall

With the startling revelation that Star Valley’s town hall lease is up three months, no definite plans have been laid and the property is in bankruptcy court, the town could soon be without a home.

This winter reminds me of what the old-timers have consistently told me about winters here: It hasn’t been like it used to be. Yet to many, it’s obvious that this winter has been different. The totals from our earlier storm were on par with that of the 1967 snow and 1970 flood. The moisture, unlike many recent years, hasn’t stopped coming. In many ways, it’s an old-time winter. How was it back then? Here’s a clip from a conversation I had with longtime Mead Ranch local Royce O’Donnell a couple years ago.

Unbreakable clouds

One day on my way from Phoenix back up to Payson, I noticed enormous clouds in the sky, threatening rain by the dark grey backdrop that surrounded them. These gigantic clouds were countless and it was as if the whole sky had meshed together in one large form.

My father is 88 and quite headstrong. He has taken a daily dose of mineral oil for years and years. He says it keeps him regular. Should he continue to do this? Could it harm him?
