Women’S Wellness Forum To Focus On Balance In Life



The 12th Annual Women’s Wellness Forum will get participants fired up with an opening session of ZUMBA!, and an inspirational presentation by the keynote speaker. The forum is Saturday, March 13 at the Payson High School campus. The deadline to register is March 9.


The 12th Annual Women’s Wellness Forum will get participants fired up with an opening session of ZUMBA!, led by Christy Walton.

Since its inception 12 years ago, the goal of the annual Women’s Wellness Forum has been to get women – the primary care givers – to take time to give themselves some special care. Care that includes taking steps to get healthy and fit, to relaxation, to relieving stress through different pursuits or just by having a little extra knowledge about something like home repairs.

The annual event is also a chance to get out of the house and away from the office and meet other women of all ages who are dealing with many of the same issues.

Like its predecessors, the 12th Annual Women’s Wellness Forum is seven hours of empowerment, education, socializing and fun.

The event is from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 13 at the Payson High School Campus. It is only $10, with some financial help available. The deadline to register is Tuesday, March 9. Call the Mogollon Health Alliance at (928) 472-2588 to reserve your spot.

The program

Kick off the day by getting your heart pumping to high-energy music and dance with ZUMBA! a fun dance exercise routine led by Christy Walton at 7 a.m.

Next enjoy a continental breakfast during registration in the lobby of the PHS auditorium between 7:35 a.m. and 7:50 a.m.

Starting at 8 a.m., participants will be formally welcomed to the forum and then hear from the keynote speaker, Ali Vincent, winner of Season 5 of TV’s most popular reality show, The Biggest Loser. Now a inspirational speaker and author of the book Believe It, Be It, she will bring a message of positivity and lifelong health and fitness.

Vincent’s presentation will set the tone for participants as they choose from a variety of breakout sessions.

Among the topics to select are Balancing Life with Exercise; home repairs; negotiation skills; managing aches and pains with self-massage; Balancing Your Healthy Soul; Bouncing Back from Financial Hard Times, choosing the right foods; and finding balance while fighting cancer.

Following the breakout sessions, participants will enjoy a boxed lunch and get the opportunity to visit with a variety of vendors in the Old Gym at PHS.
