School and subjects taught: Title I Reading and Math at Julia Randall Elementary.
College degree and major: Purdue University Bachelor’s Elementary Education, Grand Canyon University Master’s Instruction and Curriculum in Reading.
Years teaching: 11
Why do you teach? I love the children and truly care about their academic success. I love seeing children reach their goals and do their best. To know that I had a part in their learning and life, really excites me.
Personal motto / words of wisdom: Put your all into everything you do.
Family: I live with my husband Jeremy and my new baby Karley.
Pet peeve: People whistling.
Favorite hobby or leisure activity: Playing with my new baby girl, hanging out with friends, reading, and going out to eat.
Person in history you’d most like to meet and why? My grandpa because he passed away before I got to meet him.
Why Payson? It is beautiful, and I think some of the best people in the world live here!
In school, who was your favorite teacher and why? Mrs. Henderson, my fourth-grade teacher. She was nice and really cared about me.
What was your favorite subject in school and why? Math was my favorite subject. I like it because there is always a right answer.
What was your favorite year in school and why? My favorite year in school was my senior year. We went on a class trip to Washington, D.C. and New York. I also enjoyed playing softball, soccer, and cheerleading.
