Health education
• Dr. Peter M. Zonakis will be speaking at the Senior Circle Lunch and Learn event Wednesday, March 24. Dr. Zonakis’ topic will be skin cancer. He will cover what increases the risk; how to protect yourself; and the different types of skin cancer. The Lunch and Learn is from 11 a.m. to noon and a light lunch is provided. The event is free, but reservations are requested. To make a reservation, call (928) 472-9290.
Classes
The Feeling Fit exercise class will be held twice a week. The group meets Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Join the line dance class on Fridays immediately following exercise. The line dance class starts April 9. Call now to reserve your place in line at (928) 472-9290.
New discount merchants
• La Sierra Mexican Food Restaurant, 800 N. Beeline Highway — La Sierra is offering Senior Circle Members a 10 percent when you show your Senior Circle card.
• Black and Tan Tales, a craft supply, class and gift shop, 225 E. Highway 260 in the Safeway Shopping Center, (928) 474-9711 — Owner Leanne Pocalun has a great assortment of craft supplies and teaches classes. She will offer free craft classes at the Senior Circle, with a fee for the supplies. Some of the upcoming classes at the Senior Circle include cake decorating, stained glass and beading.
Support groups
The Diabetes Support Group meets the last Monday of the month at the Senior Circle from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sign up now for the March 29 meeting by calling (928) 472-9290 to let organizers know you will be attending.
