More than 70 area businesses and organizations will be taking part in the 18th annual Business Showcase this Saturday and Sunday. The showcase will be at the Foxworth-Galbraith property on North Beeline Highway.

The 18th annual Business Showcase is about building Rim Country business. Rim Country residents and visitors will have the opportunity to see the products and services of almost 70 area businesses and organizations at the two-day event.

“It’s bigger than before. We have about 50 percent more businesses this year,” said John Stanton, executive director of the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, which is the program developer.

There will be everything from a man who tests wells to haircuts from the folks at Shear Oasis Salon. Many of the vendors will also be selling products from their booths, Stanton said.

The showcase will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 20 and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, March 21 at the Foxworth-Galbraith property, 202 N. Beeline Highway, Payson.

This is the first time the event has taken place over two days.

Stanton said the decision to extend the showcase was based on the space that was available to use and its more central location and easy access, including parking being made available from Walmart. He said they also felt that having it on a Sunday would make it possible for those who work Saturdays to attend.

Admission is $1 per person, with children under 12 admitted at no charge.

In addition to all the printed information being provided by vendors, there will also be demonstrations and free samples.

Additionally, Payson P.A.Y.S. will have renovation/remodel seminars every half-hour to help those attending with their projects. The focus of the seminars will be on tax credit projects: roofing, heating and cooling, solar energy, windows, real estate, and plumbing, Stanton said. There will be two of each of the seminars Saturday and one presentation of each on Sunday.

There will also be food vendors, so guests can get a bite to eat on site and spend more time visiting with the business and organization representatives taking part in the showcase.

Payson P.A.Y.S. is also sponsoring the mixer for the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, March 19 at the Foxworth property.

The presenting sponsor of this year’s business showcase is Payson Regional Medical Center. Contributing sponsors are The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society Majestic Rim, Lowery’s Window & Door, Rim Country Health & Retirement Community and the Payson Roundup.

Other sponsors of the showcase are: Apex Alternative Energy, Arizona Solar Power, Compass Bank, Bud’s Plumbing Supply, Comfort Keepers, Four Seasons Realty, Fresh Breeze Heating & Cooling, Healthy Perspectives, Kiwanis, New Life Foundation, Payson Care Center, Payson Glass Co., PostNet, Ruff Roofing, Shear Oasis Salon, Signature Custom Door & Window Install, Tom Russell Insurance, The Tub Guy and Waste Management.
