Rim Country Health and Retirement Community’s activity department invites area residents to come in and adopt one of the facility’s residents through the Have a Heart Project. The project was developed to help residents who do not have family nearby or rarely get visitors.
Have a Heart Project is easy. Just come to the activity room at 807 W. Longhorn Road to pick a heart off the Have a Heart Tree. Each heart has the name of a resident with a list of their needs. Most of residents would just like a friend, someone to talk to. There are residents ranging in age from 30 to the mid-90s. Residents just want a chance to tell their story, to share and to feel wanted.
Nothing is more fulfilling than to make someone’s day by visiting and spending good, quality time with them. To make a difference to someone, Have a Heart and visit Rim Country Health today.
