John Corey Boyle, a level two sex offender, notified the Gila County Sheriff’s Office he is living in Pine.
According to the Community Notification on Sex Offenders Law, the sheriff’s office must notify the community when a sex offender is released from the Arizona state prison system, accepted under an interstate compact, released from the county jail, or moves into an area from another jurisdiction.
Boyle is not wanted by the Gila County Sheriff’s Office or any other agency.
Boyle is 6’01”, 175 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He lives at 3435 Lakeview Drive and does not own a vehicle.
When Boyle was 15, he was found guilty of sexual assault of his three-year-old nephew in Michigan and sentenced to 18 months in a group home. After moving to Gila County, Boyle did not register in a timely manner. After registering, Boyle moved but did not notify the sheriff’s office of the new address. A warrant was issued for his arrest for failure to report a change of address, and the court put Boyle on intensive probation and Boyle is now required to register for life.
“This notification is not intended to increase fear, rather, it is our belief that an informed community is a safer community,” the Gila County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
“Citizen abuse of this information to harass, intimidate, or threaten sex offenders will not be tolerated.” Contact the Gila County Sheriff’s Office sex offender registration with any questions at (928) 474-2208 or (928) 425-4449.
