Editor:
In Tuesday’s newspaper Pete Aleshire writes that 118,000 people in the First Congressional District will be helped with the new health care bill. That 45,000 people die annually because of no insurance across the country. Many are denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition. Many seniors fall into the donut hole in prescription coverage.
Our Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick voted to correct these problems and will need to stay in Congress. If the 118,000 people that are of age to vote or parents of the children that benefit get out to vote in November, she will succeed.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?

Ms. Palettal, your words emanate wisdom. The health care reform law will benefit many in this state, in Rep. Kirkpatrick's Congressional district, and in our town. The fact that the GOP and their teabagger accomplices are howling and screaming about the reform only makes me feel better about how it will affect our neck of the woods.
