The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is scheduled to begin a repaving project on state Highway 87 on March 31.
The project will repave a one-third mile segment of southbound State Route 87, five miles south of the junction of State Route 188, and will include removal of the existing pavement and increasing the degree of embankment around the curve.
Work hours will be sunrise to sunset, Monday through Thursday.
The project is scheduled for completion by the end of May.
One traffic lane will be closed during the project and southbound vehicles will be limited to a maximum width of 12 feet.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down when approaching the work zone, obey all posted speed limits, and to be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
Motorists are advised to call 5-1-1 or visit www.az511.gov for the latest updates on highway conditions across Arizona.
