If the current superintendent of schools for the Payson Unified School District (PUSD) departs the area after presiding over the rearrangement of the chairs on the Titanic, a logical replacement would be the recently deposed high school principal, Mr. Roy Sandoval.
He was one of the finalists for the superintendent position when it came open just a few short years ago, he has deep roots in the community, he has the educational background, credentials, and experience to confront the myriad of challenges ahead, and he would bring some stability and integrity to a district that seemingly is in free fall.
Could the PUSD governing board be clairvoyant enough to turn chaos into calm? Stay tuned for as “The Payson Unified School District Turns”!
