Messinger Mortuaries Collecting Cell Phones For Troops

Recently, Messinger Mortuaries became the exclusive veterans and family memorial care (VFMC) provider in Maricopa and Gila counties, announce Paula and Cora Messinger, owners of Messinger Mortuaries, Cemeteries and Crematories.

Messinger was selected for upholding the highest level of ethical business standards and integrity while providing outstanding, affordable professional service.

Paula and Cora, in additional to providing more than 50 years of burial and cremation services for veterans, have furthered their commitment to reach out to veterans and their families by adding a new community outreach program to honor and pay tribute to our veterans every day.

As VFMC providers, Messinger is reaching out through the Cell Phones for Soldiers project. Currently, more than 150,000 troops are serving overseas and are away from their families.

Included in becoming an exclusive Veterans and Family Memorial Care provider, all Messinger Mortuary locations in Scottsdale, Fountain Hills and Payson, have become official drop off sites for Cell Phones for Soldiers. The program helps troops stay connected to their families.

Cell Phones for Soldiers offers free cell phones to all armed forces members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Local residents can support these collection drives by donating their old cell phones or tattered flags to Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero Drive between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
