Payson High School students Tyler Kennedy, David Knauer, Joseph Smith and Dillon Walker competed in the 48th Annual Arizona FBLA State Leadership Conference recently.
Their outstanding performance earned them places at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Nashville this summer.
Nearly 1,400 students, teachers, business members and community leaders from across Arizona convened at the Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson to compete in over 70 different types of events relating to business, management, accounting, computer programming and entrepreneurship.
They also listened to keynote speakers Jessica Cox, born without arms and an accomplished pilot, and Travis Hearn, chaplain to the Phoenix Suns. Fun was on the schedule, too, with a hypnotist show, FBLA dance and March of Dimes Battle of the Bands.
To support Tyler, David, Joseph and Dillon with their trip to Nashville, donations may be made to Payson High School FBLA or Credit for Kids.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
