School district board seats up for election in Pine, Payson

Calling all wanna-be school board members.
Seats are open for both the Pine and Payson school districts.
In Pine, the seats Jessica Barnett and Jennifer Zimmerman hold are open for re-election. In Payson, the seats Rory Huff and Viki Holmes hold are up for grabs.
Candidates seeking election will run in the Nov. 2 general election. The first day interested candidates can file nominating petitions is Monday, July 6. Petitions must be filed Wednesday, Aug. 4 by the end of the business day.
Petitions are available at the Gila County school superintendent’s office and at local school district administration offices.
Candidates must live within the school district boundaries and be registered to vote.
