Hundreds of American Kennel Club dogs were shown and judged at the Heber dog show. It was sponsored in part by the White Mountain Kennel Club.

This week had many days with winds along with other communities in our state. On Tuesday we had an increase of wind velocity that reached gusts up to 60 mph.

Also the high winds that closed the I-40 corridor also increased the highway traffic trying to avoid that area, some damage to trees was observed.

The AKC-sanctioned 2010 Conformation, Rally and Obedience Dog Show that was held at Mogollon High School on Saturday, May 8 and Sunday, May 9 went pretty well. The winds on Sunday were heavy at times and some of the booths had to stow their tents early. Many beautiful dogs were paraded and judged.

The entry fee of $30 per team pays first, second and third places. The registration is at 10 a.m. and the bags fly at 11 a.m.
