RCMS Relay for Life push

The students and staff of Rim Country Middle School are planning a big push for the upcoming Relay for Life, the area’s premier fund-raising event to help fight all cancers.

Members of the RCMS Builders Club, along with the Payson High School Key Club, want to contribute $5,000 and have a lot of projects in place to help reach that goal including Burros for a Cure. RCMS teacher Marlene Armstrong has volunteered her time and talents to prepare green chili burros for sale. Students are currently taking orders for the burros, which will sell for $3 each or five for $10. Orders must be placed by June 2. The burros will be available for pick-up at the school from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, June 3 (watch for the directional signs).

Those interested in getting the burros, but unable to contact a student, may call Ted Tatum at (928) 978-2978 or (928) 474-2239.
