The Community Presbyterian Church and its Child Learning Center are participating in the Prison Ministries Fellowship Program, which sponsors an Angel Tree for the area’s children with a parent in prison.
To raise money for the program the pre-K class at the Child Learning Center will present a benefit spaghetti dinner from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5. In addition to the dinner, there will be entertainment, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus and more.

Health & Care Fair
The Community Health & Care Fair is from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 6 at the old gym at Payson High School.
There will be services for children through the Gila County Health Department and numerous screenings for adults will be also available, as will flu shots. There are nominal fees for some of the services, including the flu shots.
Reunion, dedication in Tonto Basin
There will be an alumni reunion and dedication at the Little Red School House in Tonto Basin at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 6.
Students who were enrolled at the Little Red School between 1925 and 1980 are being sought for a celebration of the old building’s rebirth.

The Junction 87 band will be celebrating its members’ combined birthdays on Saturday, Nov. 6 with a Birthday Bash at Jakes Corner beginning at 6:30 p.m. Come help celebrate the birthdays with cake and dance the night away.
Benefit chili supper
PAWS will sponsor the benefit chili supper for the Humane Society of Central Arizona this year.
The 14th Annual Chili Supper will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9. The chili supper will again be at the Elks Lodge on Airport Road. The cost is still $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under
Tickets are available at the Humane Society Shelter, 812 S. McLane Road, the Humane Society Thrift Store, 404 W. Main Street, the Chamber of Commerce Office, 100 W. Main Street, Payson Public Library, 328 N. McLane Road and at the door.
Enjoy entertainment by the band Blue Frog, participate in raffles, auctions and more and, of course, have a great meal.
All proceeds go to caring for the homeless animals of Rim Country.

New Christy Minstrels
The Tonto Community Concert Association will present The New Christy Minstrels in a performance at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9 at the Payson High School auditorium.
A limited number of single performance tickets may be available at the door for $30 each.
High Country Holiday Bazaar
Get some holiday shopping done from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13 at Julia Randall Elementary School, 902 W. Main St., Payson.
Choose from handmade art, crafts and even baked goods. Shoppers can also purchase a barbecue lunch and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and get free photos.
Holiday parade entries sought
It’s that time of year again - Saturday, Dec. 4 the 10th Annual Main Street Parade will transform Historic Main Street into a magical holiday wonderland. The parade will proceed west on Main Street from Sawmill Crossing to Julia Randall School starting at 6 p.m. Immediately following the parade come to Santa’s Workshop at the Ox Bow for more fun for the kids.
