It’S Adopt A Senior Pet Month

For those of you who adopted a shelter dog during October’s Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, thank you for your support and participation. We had 44 dog adoptions during October; now that’s what I call AMAZING!!

November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month, and in honor of that, all senior pets can be adopted for just $25.

Some of you may be worried that a senior pet comes with problems, but there are really a lot of advantages to them. Think of a pet who is already potty trained, doesn’t chew and only wants a warm bed to sleep in. Most seniors are still playful and just want your unconditional love.

Some of our seniors you met last week like Riley, Smokey and Dixie. This week, I’d like to introduce you to Rosa, Johnny Cash and Patuti who are just a few of our senior pets that we have for adoption. Some of our best behaved and most affectionate animals are seniors; you could come on down and see for yourself if you’d like, we know they sure would.

Home for the Holidays

With the holidays approaching fast, we’d like to offer special adoption fees for Home for the Holidays. These fees will be in effect through Dec. 31, 2010. Senior pets and Lonely Hearts Club members are just $25. Adult cats and dogs are $35, and kittens and puppies are $45. While we are giving thanks and spending time with the family, imagine how wonderful it would be with a new companion to share these experiences with. All of our adoptable animals are current on their vaccinations; micro chipped and have been spayed or neutered. Cats have been blood tested and swabbed and have passed a 9-point health exam. We hope you will take advantage of our fantastic holiday adoption special and come find your new companion today.

Zoe is a 2-year-old Shepherd mix. She is a high-energy girl who loves to play. She is great with kids and gets along with other dogs. Zoe may need a little reassurance and practice when it comes to basic training and manners. She is a sweetheart who is eager to please and will excel at whatever she is being taught.

Carmen is a 10-month-old Shepherd mix. She was brought in as a stray in September and was pretty shy at first. Now she is a carefree, outgoing little sweetheart. Carmen is a wonderful dog and has had some training prior to coming here. Once she is comfortable, she will heel while walking on a loose leash. She is house trained and will benefit greatly from any further training she can get. She is very smart and will catch on quickly. Carmen is good with other dogs and will need a loving home where she can feel safe and be able to blossom into an amazing young lady.

Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash is a 5-year-old ladies’ man. He is a talker who enjoys conversing with you about whatever is on your mind. The handsome fellow is laid back and quiet. He is the perfect cat to cuddle with while watching movies or relaxing by the fire while reading a book. When this man comes around, he will melt your heart.

Rosa is a 5-year-old Shepherd mix that came in as a stray. She clearly used to belong to someone because she was already spayed and has such wonderful manners. She likes to play fetch and go for walks every day. She knows basic commands like sit, stay and come. She is house and leash trained and seems to get along with other dogs and children.

Patuti is a 5-year-old beauty that was found wondering around a work yard. She is a snuggle bunny and will actually climb on to you and wrap her paws around you like she’s holding on tight. She is an easygoing girl who enjoys quiet time and lots of TLC.

Reagan is a 4-month-old female tabby that came to us as a stray. She is content on being the only animal in the house and will reward you with cuddle time and kisses if you let her be the only princess of the palace. She is happy sitting on your shoulder while you clean the house. She is very affectionate and likes to display her love by purring and keeping your lap warm.
