Sound Energy Policy Needed

Another election is behind us, and I hope that instead of spending the next two years trying to get re-elected in 2012, our leaders will buckle down and start tackling the big issues. One such issue is energy.

We still do not have a sound energy policy in this country. I recently read that the administration and EPA would like to lower the ozone pollution levels. That sounds all well and good, but when you look further into it, you find that it will have little to no benefit and will in fact costs businesses billions of dollars in compliance of complicated regulations. As a business owner, that frightens me.

We need to tell our leaders that we need an energy policy that doesn’t punish the small-business owner down the street. We need an energy policy that helps strike a balance between business and the environment.
