Members of the Tonto Community Concert Association who attend the Nov. 9 performance of The New Christy Minstrels will be given shuttle service to the Payson High School auditorium.
Due to construction on the Payson High School campus, the west (McLane Road) and Wilson Dome (Wade Lane) parking lots are closed. Parking for the concert will be available at the north parking lots (auditorium and football field) on Longhorn Road. Shuttle service will be provided from: Rim Country Middle School parking lot on Meadow Street, the south (Payson Center for Success) parking lot on Wade Lane, and Rim Valley Church of God on McLane.
Shuttle service in Payson Schools’ white activity buses will transport patrons from these locations starting at 6 p.m. and running approximately every 10 minutes. Shuttles will return patrons to their parking lots following the concert. Handicapped parking includes all spaces within the black fence next to the old Payson High School gym and just north of the auditorium. Vehicles must have a handicapped license plate or tag to enter and park in this area.
Payson Schools superintendent Casey O’Brien notes, “We apologize for any inconvenience concerning access to the auditorium for The New Christy Minstrels. This concert promises to be a sell-out and I recommend arriving early. Construction for our major solar installation will be complete in time for all subsequent auditorium events, and parking will return to normal.”
Call (928) 474-2070 for more information on parking for this event. The concert is the last of 2010 and will begin at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9.
The balance of the season starts in January with classic pianist Cristiana Pegoraro and continues with performances through May with Celtic Blaze, February; Jim Witter, March; Paul McDermand, April; and Dallas Brass, May.
