The 2011 travel opportunities with the Payson Regional Medical Center’s Senior Circle offer something for just about everyone.
Representatives from Collette Tours and Arizona Trails Tours recently spoke to 70-plus Circle members about the travel opportunities available through the Senior Circle in 2011.
“The number one thing members ask me for is day trips and travel opportunities,” said Christy VanderMolen, Senior Circle adviser.
There is something planned for every month through September of next year. Several are day trips of interest, plus there are one- or two-night stay to places such as Las Vegas, Monument Valley, Utah, the Silverton Train trip in Durango, Colo. and a trip to San Diego, Calif.
Collette Travel is also offering a five-day trip to New York, NY in April and a 10-day trip to Tuscany, Italy next November. On both the New York and Tuscany trips, Rim Country travelers will meet up with members from other Senior Circle chapters from throughout the United States.
Those interested in any of these destinations should call the Senior Circle at (928) 472-9290 and ask to be put on the interest sheet for that particular trip. Money for each trip will be due 30 days prior to the destination date.

The Senior Circle will be having a holiday bake and gifts sale, plus a silent auction Tuesday, Dec. 14. Donations of baked goods and silent auction items are needed between Dec. 8 and Dec. 13.
Items for sale will include holiday goody gift baskets and jam and jelly baskets by Carol.
This year, the proceeds will go toward a large flat screen TV for the Senior Circle. This is a much-needed item for speakers’ power point presentations and the video fitness classes.
The information on the program by Linda Murphy, Nifty at Fifty, had a few errors. The correct information is as follows:
“According to dermatologists Retin-A is the best cream to remove wrinkles.”
“Pencil skirts are in… get rid of the A-line skirts.”
“Boat or square necklines may accentuate features that are not as flattering.”
