MHA arts, crafts sale
The Mogollon Health Alliance Auxiliary will have an Arts & Crafts Sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Activity Center, 306 E. Aero Dr. (next to the Almost New Shop).
There will also be tables with Christmas merchandise and jewelry at the Payson Regional Medical Center main lobby from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18 and Friday, Nov. 19.
Proceeds from the sale will go to support the many programs and scholarships offered by the Mogollon Health Alliance. For more information, call (928) 472-2588.
Cardinals tickets raffle
Would you like a chance to win four tickets to see an Arizona Cardinals game in Glendale? The Humane Society of Central Arizona has received a basketful of Cardinals goodies, generously donated by Jim and Sue Lewin of Lewin & Associates, LLC.
The basket, worth more than $250, contains four Section 403 tickets to the Sunday, Dec. 5 game with the St. Louis Rams, a blue lot parking pass, plus official NFL Cardinals team logo items including four ball caps, four can cozies and a game day tote bag. Also included are assorted snacks for your tailgating enjoyment.
Raffle tickets are $25 and the winner will be drawn on Friday, Nov. 19 at the Humane Society Thrift Shop, 404 W. Main St. Only 100 tickets will be sold and you need not be present to win.

Cookbook sale
The Payson Church of Christ is selling a special cookbook for the holidays. The cost is $14 and there are 250 recipes. Place an order at Back to Basics or Oasis Christian Book Store.
The church’s Thanksgiving food distribution will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20. It is on Tyler Parkway.
More than 400 children in the area are in severe need of assistance, so community support of this effort is very important.
Brush pits
This coming weekend, the Regional Payson Area Project… for a Fire Wise Rim Country (RPAP) will be staffing free brush drop-off points at the following locations, weather permitting:
Saturday, Nov. 20 the Blattner Pit will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Blattner Pit is located at Milepost 259.7 on Highway 260, east of Payson.
Sunday, Nov. 21 the Pine Pit will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Pine Pit is located .7 of a mile east of Highway 87 on Control Road, south of Pine.
All RPAP free drop-off locations are for brush, leaves, pine needles, trimmings and other vegetative materials only. Properly bagged Yellow Starthistle, or other listed noxious weed species will also be accepted and will be burned. No household garbage, construction debris, or other items will be accepted.
RPAP brush pits are intended for the use of private citizens who are working to clear their properties for wildfire risk reduction and to create defensible space around their homes. They are not intended for commercial use, and use by commercial haulers is prohibited.
Merry Mall
The Payson United Methodist Church will have a Merry Mall craft and bake sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20.
The church is at 404 N. Easy St., Payson.
Arts, crafts fair
The annual Mazatzal Hotel & Casino Arts and Crafts Fair is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 21.
Shoppers will find wonderful works for you holiday giving, wearables, jewelry of all kinds, wood inlay pens, paintings, gourds, totes, dolls, woodworking pieces and much more.
DJ Craig will provide music to accompany the shopping.
Tellabration time
The 11th annual Tellabration Celebration at the Cultural Hall in Pine is at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; get there early to get a good spot. Admission is $5
This year will feature six professional tellers. The DPS Quilt Angels Chapter of the Arizona Quilters Guild hosts the event.
All of the profits are donated to the school to help fund programs for special needs students. The Cancer Quilt will be on display again this year for anyone who wishes to place a loved one’s name on it. Guests may also purchase a ticket for a chance to win this year’s Opportunity Quilt. Tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six. The drawing will be held Dec. 2.
