Pleasant Valley Ranger District fire officials will start conducting a prescribed fire operation in the Chamberlain analysis area beginning at the end of November and continuing through December.
“Dependent upon weather and air quality conditions, a black line will be put around several burn blocks and, hopefully, we will treat up to several hundred acres each day,” said Jeremy Human, fuels specialist.
“Prescription fire requests must be approved by Arizona Department of Environmental Quality for each day of the burning operations.”
Human emphasized residual smoke would be seen for a several days after ignition.
