Visiting La Posada

As the famous song goes, they really were “standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona.” A bus full of Senior Circle members just returned from a day trip to the La Posada Resort in Winslow.

During the trip, volunteer Dee Dee Dickenson called Senior Circle adviser Christy VanderMolen to inform her she lost track of seven members, then discovered they had walked down to see the infamous “corner” in Winslow, Ariz.

After the tour of the resort the bus driver took the remaining members to see the statue as well. Here’s what a few of the members had to say about the La Posada day trip:

“The trip was worth every penny, it was such a good time, my cheeks hurt from laughing” — Bob Corwin

“The resort was so beautiful, I had no idea of all the history involved with the railroad, we saw everything” — Kay Rigney

“The volunteers who headed up the trip, Dee Dickenson and Sue Pudlas, did an excellent job they were so organized” — Rena Hudson

“It was fun to finally see La Posada, we had a wonderful time, it was so nice not to have to do the driving” — Barbara Klein
