Mega Monsoon Tourney Awards $340 In Prizes


Congratulations to Derek Wimpee for winning the Mega Monsoon Tournament last month. Derek defeated his opponents, bowling match play through the semi finals and beat Ken Gunderson in the finals. Kelsey Fewell from Peru, Ind. was the top female in the tournament and ended up finishing fifth. She was also the only scratch bowler in the tournament holding a 216 average.

Ball-n-Bag League

Starting Oct. 7, Rim Country Lanes began offering a new league called Ball-n-Bag League. This league offers three games of bowling, a new ball and bag for only $15 a week. The league will run for 10 weeks. This is a great opportunity for beginning bowlers to learn the game or experienced bowlers who want to get a new ball and bag. Also on Thursday nights is Kegler Burger & Bowl. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., bowl three games and get a Kegler Cheeseburger combo with soda or a mug of beer for only $12. So bring the family and friends out and enjoy some bowling and an awesome burger.

Rim Country Lanes also has Texas Hold ’em on Friday nights and pool tournaments on Monday nights. The poker night is free to enter. Pool tournaments are $5 to enter and is a double-elimination tournament.
