Get your tickets now for the 14th Annual Chili Supper to benefit the Humane Society of Central Arizona. The event takes place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9 at the Elks Lodge on Airport Road.

A large selection of The Salsa King’s award-winning salsa and America’s Best Fudge will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28 at the Payson Regional Medical Center lobby.

Proceeds will benefit the many programs and scholarships available to the community through the Mogollon Health Alliance. For more information, call (928) 472-2588.

USMC birthday party reservations due Nov. 1

Reservations for the 235th birthday celebration of the U.S. Marine Corps are due by Nov. 1.

The party will begin at 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino. The evening will include a social hour, dinner with a choice of two entrees, the cake-cutting ceremony and entertainment by Marshall Trimble. The cost of the dinner is $35 per person.

Fund-raising events for youth

Support Rim Country’s gifted youth with several upcoming fund-raisers. Students are raising money for a trip to Washington, D.C.

Cardinals ticket raffle

Would you like a chance to win four tickets to see an Arizona Cardinals game in Glendale? The Humane Society of Central Arizona has received a basketful of Cardinals goodies, generously donated by Jim and Sue Lewin of Lewin & Associates, LLC.

The basket, worth more than $250, contains four Section 403 tickets to the Sunday, Dec. 5 game with the St. Louis Rams, a blue lot parking pass, plus official NFL Cardinals team logo items including four ball caps, four can cozies and a game day tote bag. Also included are assorted snacks for your tailgating enjoyment.

Raffle tickets are $25 and the winner will be drawn on Friday, Nov. 19 at the Humane Society Thrift Shop, 404 W. Main St. Only 100 tickets will be sold and you need not be present to win.

Benefit chili supper

PAWS will sponsor the benefit chili supper for the Humane Society of Central Arizona this year.

The 14th Annual Chili Supper will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9. The chili supper will again be at the Elks Lodge on Airport Road. The cost is still $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.

Tickets are available at the Humane Society Shelter, 812 S. McLane Road; the Humane Society Thrift Store, 404 W. Main St.; the Chamber of Commerce Office, 100 W. Main St.; Payson Public Library, 328 N. McLane Road and at the door.

There will be 50/50 raffles and a U-Pic raffle. At the boutique, check out the terrific items donated by the generous businesses, organizations and individuals in the area. They’ll make great holiday gifts.

The five-piece blues band Blue Frog will provide entertainment.

All proceeds go to caring for the homeless animals of Rim Country.

Holiday parade entries sought

It’s that time of year again — Saturday, Dec. 4 the 10th Annual Main Street Parade will transform Historic Main Street into a magical holiday wonderland.

The parade will proceed west on Main Street from Sawmill Crossing to Julia Randall School starting at 6 p.m. Immediately following the parade come to Santa’s Workshop at the Oxbow for more fun for the kids.
