Hello again, fellow Creekers.
Joan and Mari Price had a little get-together for their mom, Vi Price’s birthday. It was at Vi’s new house at Colcord Estates. Lynda St. John, Judy Bradley and Robin came up, and Judy Tolle brought Gus Kvapil. So there was Gus with seven women! He celebrated his 96th birthday this spring, and Vi was celebrating her 87th, Oct. 5. They got along famously at the party. Goes to show you, you’re never too old to make new friends.
Gary Cyrus also informed me that there are even more October birthdays Rod Britain, Mimi Tidwell and Rod’s friend Kim Chatterton all had birthdays on the the same day, Oct. 3. I guess while I’m reporting October birthdays I might as well include myself. I moved one step closer to 40 on Oct. 8. So, to all the people born in October — happy birthday!
The Creekside Restaurant is selling Christmas tree permits for the Forest Service at $15 a tree.
About 60 children attended and trick or treated at the 2010 Halloween Party held Saturday, Oct. 23. Cole Wilson and Emma Wilson of Vail, Ariz. (east of Tucson) were two of the kids who attended the event. According to Cole, they had an “awesome wicked” time.
The two were in Christopher Creek with their parents, Kevin and Amy Wilson, to visit their aunt and uncle, Lisa and Paul Rasmussen.
Thanks to the Christopher Kohl’s Fire Department, Young ERA Realty, Tall Pines Market, Creekside Restaurant, Christopher Creek Homeowners Association, and all others who helped make this party a great time for all the kids.

The brush trailer is no longer free. The cost per load is $30. This is still a deal! Contact Rick Schantz to schedule a pickup at (928) 478-4877. Remember you need to be able to load the brush onto the trailer yourself. Rick can take brush any day of the week to the brush pit.
You can also haul your brush yourself to the Blattner Pit on most Saturdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. It’s still free.
As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.
Thanks again for reading the column.
