Other items on the menu at the Payson Senior Center for $4 included, orange juice, sausage and coffee or milk.

The Payson Senior Center at 514 W. Main, Payson, provided a great breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, a choice of bacon or sausage and orange juice, plus another beverage from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11. Upcoming events include: the monthly birthday celebration for seniors with September birthdays Thursday, Sept. 16, with music by Wayne Todd at 11 a.m. and a menu featuring turkey a la king over biscuits, spinach, carrots, ambrosia salad, birthday cake and beverage. Advance reservations required.

Anne James performs live musical entertainment at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 in the center dining room. The program is free and open to the public, but reservations are needed for lunch; and then on Wednesday, Sept. 22 there will be a luau, with entertainment, games, Hawaiian food and karaoke by Big Bob.

Also taking place at the center: country-western dance lessons are held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday; free art classes are offered from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays; and Mah Jongg at 1 p.m. every Friday. For a full schedule of September events, pickup a menu and activities calendar in the lobby weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Senior Center, 514 W. Main St. For details and to make reservations or register for programs, call the center at (928) 474-4876, except for the art class, to register for it and obtain additional information, call (928) 474-3996.
