Alicia Lynne Baker was wholly unknown to me. Nevertheless, her obituary threw me into a “blue funk.” How tragic! Why are so many of the “best and brightest” with such great potentialities for making highly-significant contributions to the betterment of the so-called “human condition” taken so early in life? As the King of Siam reportedly said to Anna: “it’s a puzzlement to me.”
