Mr. and Mrs. Robert Drizigacker from Mesa picked up a new Arctic Cat ATV from TRSAR board members Kathy and Hal Baas.

With an ATV raffle bringing in more than $15,000, Tonto Rim Search and Rescue should have enough funds to buy new rope gear and insurance for another busy year.

On Friday, Sept. 10, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Drizigacker from Mesa picked up a new Arctic Cat ATV after randomly being selected out of thousand of entrants.

TRSAR Commander Bill Pitterle said the Drizigackers bought a ticket only hours before the drawing was held in Strawberry at the Arts and Crafts Festival on Sunday, Sept. 5. Mrs. Drizigacker was in the crowd and heard her husband’s name called.

The Drizigackers picked up their new toy at Rim Country Powersports in Star Valley on Friday from TRSAR board members Kathy and Hal Baas.

TRSAR raised around $15,000 this year on the raffle, comparable to what they raised two years ago. Pitterle said the money should cover operating expenses for a year.
