Phs Thespians Plan Two Different Performances


PHS presents ‘Hello Dolly’

The Payson High School Musical Theatre Club will present “Hello Dolly,” a classic comedy with music, dancing, matchmaking, and romantic connivance next week.

Performances, in the PHS Auditorium, are at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 7; 4 p.m., Friday, April 8; and 7 p.m., Saturday, April 9.

Prices at the door are: adults, $8; students, $6; seniors, $7.

Advance tickets are available at MoJoe’s Cafe, the Payson Public Library and Oasis Bookstore at $2 off the at-the-door prices.

‘Up the Down Staircase’

PHS Studio Theatre presents “Up the Down Staircase” at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 28; 4 p.m., Friday, April 29; 7 p.m., Saturday, April 30; 4 p.m., Friday, May 6; 7 p.m., Saturday, May 7

The Payson High School Longhorn Theatre Company presents this dramatic comedy, directed by Tom Walling.

Based in a Philadelphia slum, the play tells the story of youthful Sylvia Barrett starting her teaching career at the wild Calvin Coolidge High School, where students like the infamous Joe Ferone are not the only problem.
