Business Community Looking To Support Jeep Venture

Hello again, fellow Creekers.

Have Jeep, will travel? Calling all Jeeps!

The summer season is right around the corner and part of what the CCVA does is to create business, and jobs for the community. One idea that had a pretty good discussion was that we thought it would be a neat thing if someone up here offered Jeep tours. I understand years ago there was such a company kind of like the famous Pink Jeep tours. Well, why not just start smaller?

We were thinking that maybe there are some folks out there with a Jeep who know the area and want to make some new friends and some extra money on the weekends this summer.

The CCVA members have offered commercial frontage to display/show off the Jeeps and a small sandwich sign. Heck, I’d even help create a little “bus stop” and waiting area. We were thinking of having the Jeep tours nestled between Christopher Creek Lodge and the Grey Hackle Lodge by the ERA Realty building.

Lastly, we would help heavily promote it to anyone that is interested in doing this. Many of us think this venture would really do well! If you’re interested, please call Jason at 480-809-1715 for more information.

Judy Tolle of the Christopher Creek Homeowners Association wanted me to remind folks one more time about the upcoming Easter egg hunt. The event will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday April 23. The location is on Columbine Road across from Ashby’s meadow. Children or grandchildren from the Christopher/Kohl’s Fire District are welcome. Bring your own basket. This is a great time for all!

As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at: info@christophercreeklodge.com. Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.

Thanks again for reading the column.
