Tonto National Forest officials announced Monday that a new online service allows visitors to print their Tonto Pass online.
“Customers have repeatedly asked for this printable option and we are pleased to meet their expectations,” said Greg Schuster, forest recreation planner.
The passes are vehicle and date specific and are available for purchase through Kinsail, an online contractor for the Tonto National Forest recreation program.
Passes must be placed on a vehicle’s dashboard.
The Tonto Pass is required at more than 50 recreation sites on the forest including the Salt and Verde River locations, boat launch ramps, swimming areas and campgrounds. Passes are sold at more than 250 locations. Prices for the pass remain the same: day-use pass, $6, water pass, $4, seniors pass, $3. Customers can access the Kinsail Web site by clicking on the “Tonto Pass Sold Online” link at the Tonto National Forest Web site, www.fs.usda.gov/Tonto.
