Moose Lodge events
The Women of the Moose meet at 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the lodge.
The lodge has a Thursday Fish Fry from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekly dinner specials are available.

PAL meets tonight
The Payson Art League meets at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 19 for its monthly meeting. The guest speaker will be Loretta Musgrave, who has enjoyed a lifelong career as an artist.
For many years she served as vice president of Arizona Cowboy Artists. She works in many painting mediums and just finished up the 12-week Fine Art EXPO in Scottsdale.
Musgrave will be doing a “PAINT OVER” for the group. She will need two or three members to bring in dry paintings that have frustrated them. She tapes a clear acrylic sheet over and paints a fix or upgrade.
PAL meets at Rim Country Health & Retirement Community, 807 W. Longhorn Road. The public is welcome.
Payson Area Singles
The Payson Area Singles group is sponsoring a bus to Cliff Castle Casino, tomorrow, Wednesday. April 20. This trip is not limited to singles; anyone who would like to go is welcome – however seating is limited to 24 people. Meet at The Home Depot parking lot at 8 a.m. The bus will return at 3 p.m.
The bus ride is free and everyone on the bus will be given $10 by Cliff Castle to do with as they please. There is a buffet lunch that day.

The Democratic Club of Northern Gila County will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 20 at the Payson Public Library meeting room, 328 N. McLane Road.
The guest speaker will be Kathy Bickert, ReStore Manager for the Payson Area Habitat for Humanity organization. She will be reviewing the accomplishments of their organization and plans for the future. She will also review how to help in housing low-income citizens.
There will be a final report from the by-laws committee for action. There will be reports from each of the officers and leaders of the Women’s Club and Gila County Chair Chris Tilley.
Membership annual dues are only $5 and can be paid at this meeting. Membership is required to vote on club business.

Beyond Limits Disability Ministry
Beyond limits Disability Ministry, a Christian group for adults with developmental disabilities, age 18 and older, is participating this month with the Resurrection Celebration sponsored by the Payson Christian Ministerial Fellowship at Rumsey Park on Saturday, April 23.
Participants are encouraged to bring friends and family between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to enjoy the festivities, including musical groups, food, crafts and fun activities. The event is free of charge.
Beyond Limits’ next regular monthly meeting will take place at First Assembly of God church, 1100 W. Lake Drive, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 10. Participants will enjoy a delicious free dinner, warm fellowship, lively singing and an inspirational message. Caregivers and service providers are welcome to attend.

Pine Library Friends
The Pine Library Friends will meet this month at 10 a.m., Monday, April 25 in the Library Activity Room, located just behind the Cultural Hall in Pine.
The guest speaker will be Amy Abney, a local artist whose paintings can be seen in The Randall House.
The meetings are open to the community. Refreshments will be served.
The Rim Country Republican Club will meet Monday, April 25 at Tiny’s Family Restaurant.
This month, the speaker will be District 1 County Supervisor Tommie Cline Martin, who will speak on events impacting Gila County. Since Ms. Martin needs to leave early, she will speak from 11:15 a.m. to noon, so be sure to come before 11 a.m. to order brunch and socialize.
The regular business meeting will be held at noon.
Payson Raconteurs seeks new members
The Payson Raconteurs, a group of area writers, assemble at 6 p.m. every Monday in a private dinning room in Tiny’s Family Restaurant. The members invite anyone, 16 and older, who has a passion to write stories (any genre), poetry, songs, etc. No fees are required.
