Longhorn Theatre’s Junior Drama Club will present two short plays “Twinderella” by Charlie Lovett and The “Mysterious Case of the Missing Ring” by Janie Downey Maxwell this week.
“Twinderella” is a comedy that stars Cinderella, the stepsisters and the evil stepmother, but did you know that there is another half of the story?
Bob is actually Cinderella’s long lost twin. Ironically he has stepbrothers, an evil stepfather and of course, a fairy-godfather. Between dancing at the ball and playing baseball on the field, this play captures “the rest of the story” in hilarious fashion.
The Mysterious Case of the Missing Ring is hysterical comedy which encompasses many different detective stories and spy games well known to people over different generations.
Get Smart, Clue, Monk, and even Harriet the Spy are some of the major associations in this play. Be ready to laugh all through this 20-minute frolic.
There will be two performances in the high school auditorium: Wednesday and Thursday, April 20 and 21 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and students (first- through 12th-grade). Renaissance cardholders receive a 50 cent discount and Thespian cardholders are free.”
The Payson Junior Drama Club is sponsored by the Payson High School Thespian Society.
