Payson High School had 38 students compete in the three-day Arizona State DECA Conference in Phoenix, with seven of those students qualifying to attend an international conference.
More than 2,000 high school students attended the conference. Students competed in many business and marketing events.
The PHS DECA Chapter earned 21 individual and team awards.
Seven students qualified to attend the DECA International Career Development Conference April 28 through May 4 in Orlando, Fla. Those students are:
Sean Ford – 2nd Place, Sports and Entertainment
Joe Davis – 2nd Place, Principles of Hospitality
Nick McMullen – 3rd Place, Principles of Marketing
Kayla Purcell – 3rd Place, Business Operations Research Manual
Tanner Hintze and Eric Vohs – 4th Place, Travel and Tourism – team
Dillon Walker – 4th Place, Entrepreneurship Participation – Individual
Also winning individual awards were Laura Slatalla, David Seematter, Niyal Curi, Justice Owen, Mira Richy, Aubrey Pond, James Potvin, Keith Williams, Russell Hintze and Amanda Hartnell.
