Program Planned On May 2 To Assist Women In Chemotherapy

A special program is being planned for women currently undergoing chemotherapy.

The program, Look Good… Feel Better, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 2 at the Payson Regional Medical Center Outreach Facility (Senior Circle building), 215 N. Beeline Highway.

Look Good… Feel Better is a free, national public service program to help women cope with appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.

The American Cancer Society and trained volunteer cosmetologists from the community, teach women how to cope with skin changes and hair loss, using cosmetics and skin care products donated by the cosmetics industry.

Women also learn ways to disguise hair loss with wigs, scarves and other accessories.

The program will have room for six to eight women. To register, call Christy VanderMolen at (928) 472-9290.

The program is made possible through a partnership of PRMC, the American Cancer Society, the Personal Care Products Council and the National Cosmetology Association.
