We are very fortunate in our small community to have a hospital with dedicated and thoughtful staff. Recently I had the bad luck to have a very severe medical crisis requiring a trip to our emergency room and a subsequent three-day stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The staff at the ER/ ICU were thorough in the care provided and provided accurate information for my wife and I to make informed decisions for the treatment I required. In addition, the staff demonstrated compassion and emotional support to overcome fears hospitalization creates for the patient and family.
Eventually I had to be moved to a hospital in the Valley for follow-up speciality care and the care and treatment I received in the big city hospital made it clear to me how lucky we are to have such a fine hospital in Payson dedicated to quality medical care and just as important, medical staff who are interested in the health and welfare of the patient.
All the staff at PRMC were kind and supportive and I wish I could thank each and every one of the nurses, laboratory, support staff and physicians who assisted with my care, but limitations prevent this, however, I would especially like to thank the ICU RNs Jaydan and Heather who provided compassionate and exceptional care and ensured I was provided the information I needed to make the decisions I had to make.
Thank you all for helping get my health back on the right course.
