Sale at Time Out Thrift Shop
Take ‘time out’ to shop and save on First Friday, Aug. 5 at the Time Out Thrift Shop.
Everything in the store and on the sidewalk will be 50 percent off.
The shop is located at 500 S. Beeline Highway (across from Wendy’s) and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All proceeds from the sales at the Time Out Thrift Shop benefit Time Out, Inc. in Payson, it’s shelter, transitional housing and other domestic violence programs and services in Gila County.
Dinner, music, shuttle bus
Join the folks at the Payson Community Presbyterian Church for an evening of good food and entertainment. Dinner, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., will feature taco salad, beans, chips, cake and a drink at the church, 800 W. Main St. Eat in and enjoy the music of The Starlighters, or get your dinner to go — either way it’s only $5 a plate and all proceeds go to the children’s programs at the Community Presbyterian Child Learning Center.
The church will also be running the shuttle bus from the church up and down Main Street for guests to enjoy the rest of the offerings.
Bootleg Alley anniversary
At First Friday, Aug. 5. on Payson’s Historic Main St., Bootleg Alley Antiques & Art is celebrating five years in business and 51 consecutive First Fridays.
Enjoy listening to the popular local band Trouble in Paradise performing soft rock on Bootleg Alley’s porch. Feast on gourmet brats grilled by Chef Gary Bedsworth and Diane Frederich Bedsworth. For $5, purchase a Charlie’s brat with all the trimmings along with a soda and chips. All net proceeds benefit local animal charity, PAWS. Top off dinner with a dessert from Scoops. The Rodeo Jail Girls are back selling raffle tickets, shirts and rodeo pins.
Anniversary cake and punch will also be served.
Ice cream social
For First Friday on Main Street, Aug. 5, Down the Street Art Gallery is having an ice cream social where bowls of ice cream with a topping bar can be had for a donation to charity. This year, the beneficiary will be Christmas Angel Tree program. What could be better?
Welcome a new business

The event is a great way to catch up with old friends or make new ones while you enjoy music and munchies along Main Street, where the merchants are open for you to browse and discover what the Historic District has to offer.

Gallery welcomes new member
The Artists of the Rim Fine Art Gallery is introducing its newest partner, Diane Haugen during First Friday festivities Aug. 5.
A gifted gourd artist, Haugen also works in watercolor, pencil, sculpture and stained glass.
The Main Street First Friday event is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., rain or shine.
