A respite in showers in the earlier part of the week will give way to the return of afternoon showers with lows in the mid 50s and highs reaching the lower 80s.

Many take advantage of the early mornings as of late to make their daily strolls along Highway 260 near Tall Timbers Park to Bison Ranch to perform their exercise before the 40 percent humidity makes for a less than desirable trek.

On Saturday Aug. 20, the Hispanic American Potluck Reunion is having their annual event at Tall Timbers Park.
