The Gila Community College board will meet at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, to further discuss covering the parking lots at the Globe and Payson campuses with solar panels.
At a July 21 meeting, the board gave Tom Harris, managing member with PV Advanced Concepts, approval to put in a request for proposal (RFP) for the projects.
The board must now decide if it will go ahead with Harris’ plan to put up a 104-kilowatt system at the two campuses with the application deadline to apply for government incentives Aug. 31.
The board will also consider approving several intergovernmental agreements, one with Northern Arizona Vocational Institute of Technology, GCC and the Payson Unified School District and another with the Cobra Valley Institute of Technology to deliver classes to high school students.
Senior Dean Stephen Cullen will also discuss an audit report for 2006 and fees for a technology course.
In Payson, the meeting takes place at 201 N. Mud Springs Road, room 209.
