Level three-sex offender Paul Scott Sandefer, 40, notified police that he is living at 303 E. Eidelweiss Circle in Payson.
In January 2004, Sandefer pleaded guilty in Snohomish County, Wash. to sexually assaulting a 6-year-old on two occasions.
In 1992, a jury found Sandefer guilty of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old and in 1989, he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old female.
Sandefer told police his current residence is temporary. Sandefer, who does not own a vehicle, is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, 150 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.
It is the responsibility of the chief law enforcement officer having jurisdiction where the offender resides to make notification to the community.
Notification must be made when certain sex offenders are released from the Arizona State Prison, accepted under an interstate compact or released from the county jail back into the community.
Sandefer has been convicted of a sex offense, which calls for community notification. The Payson Police Department at this time does not have any outstanding warrants on Sandefer.
Citizen abuse of this information to harass, intimidate, or threaten sex offenders will not be tolerated.
