This rodeo weekend was spectacular! It was an honor to be a part of bringing business up here to our wonderful town of Payson. Our band, “It Takes Two” with Jim West and I, had the delight of playing at the end of the parade for the Farmers Market and Sunday at the Western Village.
We are so amazed at how Lorian Roethlein, who originated the Farmers Market, has given life back to our town.
She and other Payson pioneer women, like Sue Malinski, at the Western Village, have drawn people up to Rim Country so we can show what we are about! We met people from Italy, India, every state in the union, and all over the world. They came to get a taste of the American cowboy and the frontier heritage that is Payson.
Thanks so much, Lorian and Sue, from “It Takes Two.” You are the true pioneer ladies that prove that it really takes all of us to come together in these difficult times to put Payson back on the map and celebrate our American heritage.
