Staff and friends from Payson Care Center recently participated in a Sedona Walk for Alzheimer’s.
Recently 18 associates from Payson Care Center in Payson, Ariz., participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Sedona, Ariz., sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association.
The staff members walked for the cure in honor of the residents they serve.
“The Sedona community was impressed with the large turnout from Payson and the unity we represented,” said Christy VanderMolen, marketing director for Payson Care Center.
Payson Care also had a booth at the event and turned in about $550. All proceeds from the walk went to further Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
“Payson Care Center supports all who suffer with this disease or have a loved one with this illness,” VanderMolen added, sharing that the facility offers an Alzheimer’s support group on the second Wednesday of the month.
A lecture on current Alzheimer’s research is planned in February for Rim Country residents.
