Hello again, fellow Creekers.
The holidays are here and it’s time again for the Christopher Creek Annual Golf Cart and ATV Light Parade.
The event will be held this Saturday, Dec. 10. The parade will start at the Tall Pines Market at 6:30 p.m. The parade will wind through neighborhoods and end back at the Christopher Creek Loop where there will be an after celebration at the Landmark at the Creek and Creekside Restaurant.
Prizes will be handed out at Landmark at the Creek for the top 3 carts.
There are many fun community events during the holidays.
This last weekend, Landmark at the Creek had a very successful First Tree Trimming.
They have about a 16 feet tall and 12 feet round tree. Guests brought and decorated ornaments and put their name on the ornament.
The ornaments were then hung on the tree. There was also food, drinks and cookie sharing. Landmark plans to continue the tradition again next year.
The Christopher-Kohls Fire Department is holding its monthly meeting Monday, Dec. 12.
Items on the agenda are: consideration of signing a memorandum of understanding with the interim chief, review of the revised bylaws from the bylaws committee and review of the current paid time off schedule for employees.
Some items may be tabled to a future meeting depending on time.
As always, I do need your help with content and stories!
