Payson Care Center brings on full-time nursing home doctor

Life Care Physician Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Life Care Centers of America, recently placed Terence Rousseau as a full-time, on-site physician at Payson Care Center.

Rousseau will provide patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment.

He will work with the facility team of nurses, dieticians, therapists and caretakers on behalf of each of his patients, and his presence in the nursing home will enhance physician accessibility to patients and families.

He will aid in hospital transitions and pharmacy communications, and being on-site will allow him to personally respond to medical changes or emergencies in a timely manner.

“I believe today’s elderly are the greatest generation this country has produced,” said Rousseau. “I admire all they have experienced and the fortitude they have shown under severe circumstances.”

Before entering this role, Rousseau was a physician at Payson Regional Medical Center for three years.

Rousseau earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale. He is a board certified osteopathic family medicine physician.

Rousseau has a background in broadcasting and founded, owned and operated Al Translation Services, whose clients have included Motorola, Hughes Electronics and Delta Airlines.

Rousseau also served in the U.S. Army for eight years of active duty. He served in Korea, Germany and the United States, achieving the rank of sergeant.

Originally from Leavenworth, Kansas, Rousseau currently resides in Payson with his wife, Kim.
