Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at the Payson Masonic Lodge to help with the Lodge’s 2011 Clothe-A-Child event Dec. 3. The yearly Clothe-A-Child event is sponsored by Payson’s Masonic family and benefits deserving children from elementary schools from Pine, Payson and Tonto Basin. With the help of the nurses from each school, 35 children were selected to participate. The event consisted of a chaperoned shopping spree at Walmart, a visit with Santa and a program by a magician. The Clothe-A-Child program is put on by the Masonic Lodge and assisted by the local Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and Shrine and funded exclusively by private and corporate donations.
