The Rim Country Optimist Club and the Payson Senior Center wish to thank all of those who supported the Falling Leaves Fashioneesta Fashion Show. Over $2000 was collected for students in need of financial support. Based on this year’s success, we are all looking forward to next year to hold a bigger and better show.

Many individuals, organizations and businesses who supported this event joined together to present and promote this event. Donna Fischer, who is an independent distributor for Premier Design Jewelry, initially suggested the idea to one of the Optimist Club members. The Optimist Club and the Senior Center once again teamed to create a stunning fashion show to benefit the homeless students in the school district.

Donna has worked diligently from beginning to end, managing many of the details that contributed to the success of this event. In addition she donated numerous items of jewelry as raffle items, plus gave a generous percentage of her sales.

The exquisite fashions were provided by Sandra Whitenack, owner of the Boutique, and she also provided a raffle certificate. Make-up for the models and a basket of Mary Kay Cosmetics for the raffle was provided by Gail Gorry and Jadyn Walden from Colorz donated a wonderful certificate for hair and brows. Lunch was prepared by the Payson High School Culinary Arts Club and Girl Scout Troop #1604 served lunch and sold raffle tickets. DJ Craig provided music that went well with the whole event. Thanks to Drew Kofile, from the Drama Club and Thomas Walling, auditorium director, the lighting and sound system was perfection.

There are so many who are concerned about the students who are in need, that the list of supporters goes on and on. Advertising and tickets were provided, which means many thanks go to the Payson Roundup, PostNet, KMOG Radio, KRIM Radio and Sawmill Theatres. In addition to advertising and covering the fashion show, the Roundup featured an article and editorial about the lost grant the homeless student program did not get.

Financial sponsors included Payson Regional Medical Services (to be used for medical, visual or dental), Anderson Dental Group and Ross Hage, financial adviser. Payson Schools Homeless Services team and the John Moeur Memorial were both group sponsors. We also want to thank the individuals who gave financial sponsorship, including: Dr. Diane Bricker, Patricia Galileo-Pennell, Maura Provenzano, Joan Young, Sharon Judd, Barbara Fischer, Joanne Conlin, Patricia Henderson, Marilynn Bergrenn and Yvonne Pierce.

Above all, we wish to thank all those who attended the Falling Leaves Fashoneesta and invite you and others to come next year.
